Early and managed access
Explore institutional contacts for questions about access programmes in Türkiye. The competent bodies assess eligibility and the applicable route in each case.
Scientific background
Ask whether your project concerns access before authorisation, a named-patient request or treatment after a trial ends. These terms describe different situations; a Turkish specialist must check which local route applies.
TİTCK distinguishes humanitarian early access, overseas supply for individual patients and off-label use. In the humanitarian programme, individual cases are assessed and the developer or supplier provides the medicine free of charge. EU group compassionate-use programmes and named-patient supply also have distinct legal bases.
Post-trial provision is a separate question. Paragraph 34 of the Declaration of Helsinki calls for advance arrangements and disclosure to participants. Companies can ask a Turkish specialist whether their institutional question concerns an access programme or continuity after a trial. Our role is to introduce the appropriate contact. Eligibility, permission and supply are for the competent parties to decide.
